Transport & Delivery (Shipping)

How long does it take to process and ship my order?

It can take up to 48 hours to prepare your order and leave our hands, ensuring that the coffee is always fresh. We know how important it is to have fresh coffee on your doorstep as quickly as possible, which is why we always try to ship orders as soon as possible. In normal situations we can dispatch your order on the same day as your order, or the following day, but this varies depending on our roasting time and the transport schedule.
We currently ship orders through MRW, from Monday to Friday. This carrier takes national holidays into account, which may affect how long your order will take.

Do you send orders to Madeira and Azores?

Yes, of course – let us not forget that Portugal is not just the continent, but also the beautiful archipelagos of Madeira and the Azores.

Returns and Refunds

Can I return coffee products?

Due to the nature of the product, we are unable to accept returns on coffee bags. However, Sargento Martinho wants its customers happy – if there is a problem with your coffee, or there is an error with your order, please contact us here (insert contact page link). It will be our pleasure to give you the help you need, whether through something different that you will enjoy, or through a refund.

Coffee

How should I store coffee beans?

Store your coffee in a place with low humidity, little sun exposure, and at room temperature. The best method of preserving coffee and maintaining the highest level of freshness is in a container without an air outlet (such as the Airscape). We advise that you do not place the coffee in the refrigerator, as moisture will infiltrate the beans, resulting in a loss of quality. It is also important to note that coffee beans easily absorb odors and flavors that surround them – be careful!

How long does Sargento coffee stay fresh and consumable?

Still inside our sealed bags, we recommend that you consume the coffee by the date shown on the packaging, which is 60 days after roasting. After opening the bag, we recommend that the grains be consumed within 3 to 4 weeks, to make the most of each grain.

I can't find my favorite coffee anymore, where did it go?

Like other fresh edibles, coffee is seasonal. As we are dedicated to always having exceptional specialty coffee, throughout the year you will find different coffees, often from different farms and cooperatives. To guarantee and promote sustainability in the coffee harvesting process, Sargento only works with small producers, which means that the coffee you will find will always be from small lots and therefore will not be here for long. But don't be sad – we will always find a new coffee with similar characteristics to the previous one, sometimes even from the same producer, which will dazzle you and perhaps even remind you of your previous favorite coffee.
