Description
“And the story of this cafe …”
… started with Fabio’s grandfather in the early 1940s, when he bought a coffee farm. Today it is managed by his descendants: Seu Manuel, Dona Joana and his grandchildren Flávio and Fabio. But it was only in 2008 that Fabio introduced the cultivation of specialty coffees at Sítio.
Since 2010, with the commencement of the use of community machinery, combined with a philosophy of picking the late coffee cherry, Fabio has been standing out with the quality of his coffees and has won several awards, including the third place in “Coffee of the Year – 2016 ”. He says that prizes are welcome but that his real motivation is to improve his family’s quality of life.
The farm is located on the border between the states of Espírito Santo and Minas Gerais, close to Morro da Pedra Menina and the Pico da Bandeira National Park, at an altitude of 1200 meters, with climatic conditions that promote the production of unique specialty coffees and that surprise us for its consistency and brilliant flavors, also the result of the family and collaborative work of the other coffee producers in the region.
